Chocolate Oatmeal Hermits Recipe

Ingredients:
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 egg whites
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ½ cups quick cooking oats
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). Spray the pan with vegetable oil.
- Using an electric mixer, beat together the sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, egg whites, and vanilla in a medium mixing dish. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together and fold them into the creamed mixture. Stir in the fast cooking oats and chocolate chips using a wooden spoon.
- Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls onto the cookie sheet that has been prepared. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks after removing from baking sheets.
