Tex-Mex Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

This is a quick and easy dish that tastes great and makes a nice break from regular macaroni and cheese. If preferred, serve with cooked peas and grated Parmesan cheese.

Tex-Mex Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 2 tablespoons butter, or as needed
  • ¼ cup milk, or as needed
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (7.3 ounce) package white Cheddar macaroni and cheese mix

Directions:

  1. Brown the steak in a large skillet and drain any extra grease. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed, according to the guidelines on the taco seasoning packet. Remove from the equation.
  2. Prepare macaroni and cheese as directed on the package, using butter or margarine and milk as needed. Combine the steak, macaroni, and cheese in a mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients and serve.
