Cherry Chip Cookies II Recipe
These cookies are similar to chocolate chip cookies, however instead of chocolate chips, they have cherry chips. What a delight!

Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon salt
- .66 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups cherry baking chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- .66 cup shortening
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees C).
- Cream together the shortening, butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the two eggs and the vanilla extract thoroughly. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a sifter, and fold into the creamed mixture. Stir in the cherry chips last.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, dropping cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. The edges should be golden brown in color.
