Ice Box Fruitcake Recipe
I'm not sure whether this is a regional meal or what... but no one I talk to has ever heard of it save my family... and most people behave as if it's completely bizarre... but it's extremely tasty and made with quite common stuff...

Ingredients:
- 1 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers, crushed
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chopped raisins
- 1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Directions:
- Combine the pecans, raisins, walnuts, cherries, condensed milk, and vanilla wafers in a medium mixing bowl. The dough will be rather thick, so you'll have to work with your hands.
- On top of a dinner plate, form dough into a ring. Wrap in plastic wrap and/or aluminum foil in multiple layers. Allow for at least a week of aging in the refrigerator. The flavors will have time to mingle, and the milk will be completely absorbed by the cake.
