Chess Pie III Recipe
My grandmother used this recipe, which she handed on to me in a box of old papers when she died. It's highly filling, therefore it's not for individuals watching their weight.

Ingredients:
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1 (9 inch) pie shell
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 3 eggs
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
- Combine melted butter or margarine, eggs, and sugar in a medium mixing basin. Combine cornmeal, vinegar, and vanilla essence in a large mixing bowl. Stir until all of the ingredients are well blended. Fill the pastry shell with the mixture.
- Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden brown on top, in a preheated oven.
