Yummy Apple Pound Cake Recipe
This cake is delicious and adaptable. Apples can be replaced with any variety of fresh fruit.

Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups chopped apples
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup butter
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165 degrees C). A 10 inch Bundt pan should be greased and floured.
- Cream together the oil, butter, and sugar in a medium mixing basin. One at a time, beat in the eggs. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt, and fold them into the egg mixture. Finally, combine the vanilla, apples, cherries, and walnuts in a large mixing bowl. Pour the batter into the pan that has been prepared.
- Bake for 75 to 90 minutes in a preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow 10 minutes in the pan to cool before inverting onto a wire rack to cool entirely.
